Earning Envision Greater Fond du Lac’s 2022 Entrepreneur of the Year award, HANG10 Poke will be serving poke bowls in Downtown Fond du Lac on March 20, 2023 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. This event is for Fond du Lac County entrepreneurs and business owners looking to network, leverage, and connect with each other and business development resources. Dan Brosman, Center Director of the Small Business Development Center- UW Oshkosh will be in attendance to connect and introduce Fond du Lac County to the plethora of free small business resources the SBDC can provide.

Dan Brosman: Center Director, Small Business Development Center (SBDC) & Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation-University of Wisconsin Oshkosh

Dan Brosman is an advocate for student entrepreneurs and small businesses in our community. He works at UW Oshkosh as Director of the Small Business Development Center and Executive Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, where he provides consulting services and hands on programming to support the startup and development of new/existing business ventures. Dan has guided the startup of dozens of businesses, helped to create hundreds of jobs, and assisted businesses with obtaining millions in capital.

Prior to joining the University, Dan co-founded a fast-growing EdTech startup that was acquired in 2021. Dan is engaged with several entrepreneurial support organizations throughout the NE Wisconsin region; he is a member of the NEW Launch Alliance, on the board of IGNITE! (part of Envision Greater Fond du Lac), co-founder of The Fox Connection which hosts ‘The Pitch Fox Cities’ startup competition, and is on the board of Propel Oshkosh, the young professional’s organization in Oshkosh. Dan earned both his BBA and MBA from UW Oshkosh.

As a fun way to “practice what he preaches” and support the Main St businesses, Dan and his wife recently opened the Oshkosh Pedal Trolley, a 14-seat, pedal-powered party bike (also known as a pedal pub or pedal tavern) that offers tours around downtown Oshkosh.

Outside of his day job, Dan enjoys spending time with family, traveling, cheering on all Wisconsin sports, and being involved in the community. Dan and his wife welcomed a baby boy in October.
