Oconto County Economic Development Corporation (OCEDC)

The Oconto County Economic Development Corporation (OCEDC) fosters economic development and promotes tourism in Oconto County with an economic development focus on rural small business development and entrepreneurship.

About

Oconto County Economic Development Corporation (OCEDC) is a countywide economic development organization serving a county population base of over 37,000.  OCEDC has been an established 501 (C)(3) organization for over 40 years.  The County is rural in nature county, and is  adjacent to the Green Bay MSA and extends 100 miles to the north to include both the national forest and the lake country of northern Wisconsin.  While the county has a significant manufacturing base, the focus of future growth relates to small businesses and start ups.  For this reason, we operate the Oconto County Business Innovation Development (OCBID) program to assist new and exiting businesses with ongoing counseling, mentoring, and access to business consulting expertise.  The program serves over 40 clients.  Our Micro Loan Program has provided low interest loans to many of the program clients.
