About

The 130-acre Whitewater University Technology Park was designed with expansion, relocation and business needs in mind. As the cornerstone of the Whitewater University Technology Park, the Whitewater University Innovation Center serves as a community for entrepreneurs.

The Whitewater University Innovation Center is more than a building. It is an entrepreneurial community strategically built with the support from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater and the broader entrepreneurial ecosystem throughout Wisconsin.  With the support of our partners,  the Whitewater University Innovation Center provides work space,  coaching,  and programming to take your startup to the next level. With over 25 companies, collaboration between companies is one of the greatest benefits.

The 35-acre parcel directly east of the Whitewater University Innovation Center is “Certified in Wisconsin.” With approval from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, this designation indicates that the site meets particular criteria pertaining to infrastructure, transportation, environmental, and other factors. The development-ready site has 12 building sites ready for construction with all utilities included and state-of-the-art technology infrastructure in place.

The mission of the Whitewater University Technology Park is to create and foster durable businesses and jobs through a close alignment of UW-Whitewater’s research and educational competencies and the resources of the City of Whitewater. The Technology Park serves as a foundation for a diversified and robust regional economy through the attraction of new residents, utilization of UW-Whitewater faculty, staff and student expertise and the retention of alumni talent.

Whitewater is conveniently located less than two miles from U.S. Highway 12, approximately 50 miles from Madison and Milwaukee, and just 80 miles from Chicago. The city is at the epicenter of Wisconsin’s population density, with close proximity to other population centers such as suburban Milwaukee, Madison, Racine, Kenosha, Janesville, and Rockford, IL.
