Northwest Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission

NWRPC is an advocate for NW Wisconsin. NWRPC is a leader, a coordinator, and an advisor through the implementation of our core functions of planning, community development, and economic development. NWRPC has a variety of small business loan funds.

About

NWRPC provides the stimulus for economic development and small business growth in Northwest Wisconsin. NWRPC’s flagship economic development program is its Revolving Loan Fund. The RLF program is home to four different loan entities and over 15 different funding sources that help startup and expanding businesses achieve goals and success in the ten-county region.  If you applied for a loan at a bank and they denied you or did not give you the full amount requested, we are a good fit to help you achieve your full capital needs. Loan feasibility requirements must be achieved; however, we have helped many of the businesses you see on Main Street, in your community or industrial park.

If you are wanting to start a business or expand your existing company but do not know where to start, NWRPC offers direct consulting (free of charge) and also bolsters a large resource referral network (SBDC’s, ICAA Business Development, community bankers, lawyers, accountants) to help you organize your thoughts and develop an action plan. NWRPC also is home to other amazing economic development and small business programs including free Small Business Administration and United States Department of Agriculture Consulting programs (non-ag related), a network of Business Enterprise Centers (Medford, Phillips, Iron River, Spooner, Siren and Grantsburg), and years of knowledge and experience to get you to that next level. From feasibility to funding, NWRPC can be your go-to small business resource to get you on the small business ownership road to success.

So whether you are ready to purchase a facility or land, buy equipment, machinery or inventory, or upgrade your computer and office furniture, NWRPC has a loan program that could assist you.

All you have to do is call (715) 635-2197 and ask for Ken Pearson or email [email protected]!

More about NWRPC:

The need for economic stability and growth of the region led to the creation of the Northwest Regional Planning Commission (NWRPC) in 1959 by local units of government. Today, NWRPC continues to provide professional services to local units of governments, communities, and businesses in an effort to strengthen the regional economy and assist businesses with the retention and creation of high skill/high wage jobs. Professional services include creating local economic development strategies, facilitating local business expansions, and project plan development within the ten-county region of Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Iron, Price, Rusk, Sawyer, Taylor and Washburn Counties.

NWRPC administers the various revolving loan fund programs of Northwest Wisconsin Business Development Corporation (NWBDC), Northwest Wisconsin Regional Economic Development Fund (NWREDF), and Wisconsin Business Innovation Corporation (WBIC). NWRPC also owns and operates a regional network of enterprise centers (business incubators). NWRPC and WBIC provides technical assistance to businesses.
