WVCA (Wisconsin Venture Capital Association)

The Wisconsin Venture Capital Association is a non-profit trade organization designed to encourage investor participation and collaboration in Wisconsin’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

About

The venture capital industry has always relied on networking and collaboration to achieve success. The WVCA believes that this starts with routine meetings where investors get to know others in the sector. The WVCA will hold regular forums to discuss current topics impacting the industry, share expertise and experience among members, and discuss deals for which they are seeking participants. The goal is to encourage strong working relationships, syndication, and build consensus around issues.

The WVCA will serve as a united voice to policymakers on behalf of the accelerators, angels, venture capitalists, and institutional investors in Wisconsin’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. The Board will strive to balance and provide mutual support across the financing continuum for groups that could otherwise have divergent interests. The WVCA will work to build consensus with other groups to support our positions, and mobilize legislative outreach from across the state.

The WVCA will strive to build investor interest in the sector by helping to expand the connections between members and the institutions and family offices that are capable of investing in the sector by helping them gain awareness of the opportunities in the state.
