Regional Business Fund, Inc. (RBF) is a non-profit economic development corporation whose purpose is
to promote business and economic development in West Central Wisconsin (defined as the counties of Barron, Chippewa, Clark, Dunn, Eau Claire, Polk, and St. Croix).
RBF offers low-interest loan funds to businesses that provide an economic benefit to the region including those that expand; diversify the economy; add new technology; revitalize buildings in the region's downtowns; create or retain quality jobs; and leverage private capital investment in the region.
RBF does not seek to compete with traditional financial institutions, rather RBF provides an additional source of capital for those businesses unable to obtain financing from a bank or credit union.
RBF provides a flexible source of business financing and can fund acquisition of equipment, machinery, furniture and fixtures; working capital; site improvements; land and building acquisition;
new building construction or building renovation.
RBF does require collateral but is oftentimes subordinate to a lead financial institution.
